Podiums, prosecco and fun in the sun at Challenge Paguera
Twas a hot one, but who is really complaining about the race day heat at this year’s Challenge Paguera (other than the poor supporting souls who had to walk the 30 metres to the hotel bar for fresh Pepsi).
The sea was flat and clear with the roads as smooth as ever. The run garnered generous applause from the town’s holidaymakers, amused and bemused at why 1300 people would choose to run in 25-degree heat as the sun reached its peak.
Yet Derby Triathlon Club returned with valour, the latecomers seemingly making the most noise and sensing the value in the hotel’s all-inclusive policy. The newcomers marvelled at the simplicity of registration, checking in the bike and wondering what to do with the spare time afforded when accommodated adjacent to the Start, Finish and Expo zones. That’s why we return year on year to a resort and race that are as warm as each other in their welcome. Local flights, cost-effective, great company and the perfect end of season affair that kicks you on through the chills of winter.

And chapeau to the organisers from the town of Calvia’s Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) who represented the Challenge brand superbly. A fluid race with plenty of heart and personal touches throughout the booking and delivery process.

The eagle-eyed will have spotted that next year’s race has been pushed back a week, now coinciding with the majority of schools’ half term weeks.
The following prices apply based on bookings received before 22nd October 2017:
Full entry: £552.00 per person
Relay: £502.00 per person
Supporter: £363.00 per person

What next?
To confirm your booking at these prices we require a non-refundable deposit of £150 (to secure race entry) by no later than 22nd October 2017. A further £150 is due by 30.11.2017. Payments should be made via bank transfer direct to MSG Tours Ltd.
Please note that prices will increase by £47 per-person after 22nd October 2017 once the event’s special offer period expires.
