As a former England and British and Irish Lions player, it gives me tremendous pleasure to see the touring traditions of this fantastic sport continue with a whole new generation of athletes and upcoming pros.

Now in collaboration with MSG, I’m delighted to be working alongside their passionate sports tour co-ordinators, assisting in the development of innovative rugby touring destinations for schools and clubs at every level — in conjunction with helping teams to raise the necessary funds to help achieve their sportive ambitions on an international level.

Our rugby tours portfolio — developed alongside former England and Lions pro, Tim Stimpson — spans a variety of worldwide destinations, but remains equally focussed on locales that deliver excellence in both sportive and memorable travel experiences. From the neighbouring Irish counties to the glistening coasts in Fiji, right through to the fiercest competition any team could arguably face in sunny New Zealand, we’ve spent a great amount of care putting together amazing packages for rugby teams across all skill levels and age groups.

Meanwhile, our base of operations in the Basque Country makes challenging, competitive fixtures just a stone’s throw away. Often cited as the heartland of rugby, the standard of play is extremely high here — boasting France’s Aviron Bayonnais and Biarritz Olympique as chief rivals in the region — and serves as the ideal base for touring teams looking to test their resolve on both sides of the Spanish and French border. Teams can also prepare for the rigours of the season with a productive stay at one of our Basque Country pre-season rugby camps.

Wherever you decide to travel, all our rugby tours are expertly coordinated to combine focused training with competitive play, as well as giving teams the chance to immerse themselves in the local sights, attractions, and culture.

Nelson RFC are returning for their next big tour with us in 2022. Back in 2018, the Unicorns embarked on a tour of Ontario, Canada with us. After missing out on their tour to Malta in summer 2020, they have gone even bigger. The club have given themselves something to look forward to by booking their next tour with us to the Deep South, USA.

In February half term 2020, Rhondda Schools Rugby, coached by former Wales international, Neil Boobyer, headed over to our European base in the Basque Country to test themselves against some of the toughest opposition in the region – including Top 14 academy team, Aviron Bayonnais. The team also enjoyed some surfing and experience the unique Basque culture.

In 2017, the boys and staff at Tonbridge School joined us for a week of pre-season prep at one of our training camps in the Basque Country. During their seven-day trip, headed up by ex-Wales rugby player Ben Broster, the boys received expert coaching in between some challenging local matches.
