Grandvalira has the largest ski area in the Pyrenees as well as being credited for covering the most extensive surface area in this region. The resort has been home to a few international competitions including Women’s Skiing World Cup and Speed Skiing World Cup, placing Grandvalira firmly as one of the top resorts on an international scale. Aside from the slopes, Grandvalira offers over 40 different restaurants and bars, to suit all tastes and to satisfy the most demanding customers

Andorra being a petite 468 sq. km. makes this destination great to cover a whole scope of activities across the entire district. Alongside skiing, interesting places include the boutiques at Pas de la Case, the Church of San Joan de Caselles at Canillo, a visit to the capital and – another resort!! – Vallnord.

When to visit Andorra?

For school trips to Grandvalira, we recommend visiting between December and March, most suited for the Christmas and February half term holidays. Summer in Andorra is also a great time for hiking and trekking.
