The eighth Women’s Rugby World Cup took place in Ireland during 9-26 August 2017 and we offered your club the chance to experience this showpiece occasion as part of a pre-season tour during the 11-14th August 2017.

All pool stages took place at University College Dublin (UCD) before moving to Belfast for the play-off rounds. Our travel package for girls’ U15, U18 and women’s teams included entry to a full-day rugby festival organised by the IRFU and Leinster Rugby on Saturday 12th August and viewing of the WRWC pool matches scheduled for Sunday 13th August 2017.

This was an extremely unique event on Britain’s doorstep via coach/ferry or flight via regional UK airports. Accommodated was at the excellent Dublin International Hostel, the groups were ideally placed to experience the very best of Dublin’s sights including Malahide Castle, Temple Bar and The Guinness Storehouse.

With an enthusiast following worldwide and attendance being high, the 2017 WRWC brought a fantastic atmosphere to Dublin. The 10 aside rugby festivals gave the teams the chance to play against and socialise with local sides and other touring teams. Tournament entries were limited so we encouraged teams to book early to join the likes Nelson Unicorns and Bedlinog Vixens who travelled to Dublin with MSG Tours for this exciting pre-season tour.
