Italy v Wales, Six Nations
7-11 February 2019

Introducing… La Ballezza (the beautiful one)

Italy, MSG style.
7-11 February 2019
FIVE days. THREE cities. ONE unique experience

MSG Supporters will attest that we craft our trips with a slightly rugged blade. The extra grooves get inside the skin of our featured countries and seek out the very best in cultural enrichment. You may only get to see a destination or country once, so let’s make the most of it.

We call it Delivering the Unexpected.

La Ballezza

Ballezza? The literal translation of this Italian word is beauty.
Our research focused on taking the very best of the Italy v Wales encounter in Rome and adding an awful lot of appeal. Rome is Rome; classically beautiful, historic and memorable. We are, however, basing our 2019 Wales Supporters Tour in Bologna, the ‘European capital of culture’, a city recognised as a paradise of rich Italian culture. Dine at handpicked restaurants and indulge in the local cuisine tried and tested by MSG’s Product Manager, Grace Mumford on our recent inspection trip in March 2018. After all, it’s our job to ensure every element of YOUR trip is tested to the highest possible standards.

Three Cites, Five Days, One Unique Experience

With a glorious, artistic heritage and some fantastic examples of the world’s best architecture, gorge on culture as you walk through the beautiful ‘porticoes’. These sheltered structures line the city’s buildings and are stunning pieces of architecture. Look above and be dazzled by the ornate ceilings that have made the city renowned worldwide.

Bologna has strong roots in education, often referred to as ‘the learned one’. Reflecting this, Grace has discovered a variety of culinary workshops for us to participate in. Become a wine connoisseur, learn about legendary Bolognian cheeses and sample real Italian olive oil, all whilst learning the art and craft of making pizza – the local way, naturally.

The centrepiece of the tour. Days 3 & 4 of our tour include sightseeing in the city, tickets to the match and an overnight stay.  Soak in the fantastical Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Vatican and experience a traditional Italian Mass service at St Peter’s Square.

Before your departure back to the UK, and after a final night in Bologna, you will be whisked off to Verona. Discover countless churches and that balcony where Romeo confesses his undying love for his sweetheart Juliet. Time to renew the vows?
