An abundance of culture, colour and competition, the intoxicating world of Hong Kong Sevens is known for being the premier tournament on the World Rugby Sevens Series contest.  This event is an unrivalled experience and a must in every rugby fan’s lifetime.

Tournament format

The Hong Kong Rugby 7s adopts the three-day tournament format.  Games commence on Friday evening and continue through Saturday and Sunday.  Event parties are commonplace in and around Hong Kong that kick off once the rugby activities conclude on the field.

In Hong Kong – Visit Victoria Peak. Stanley Market, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Harbour and Fishing Village with your guide. Both hotel options only a short trip to the heart of downtown Hong Kong as well, there will be plenty of time to visit Soho, Kowloon and Central districts and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of this incredible city.  

In Beijing, China – Should you choose to add a stop in China, you’ll have the chance to visit some of the countries most iconic sights. Taking advantage of the 72 hour stop over visa, you’ll be able to see the Great Wall, Forbidden City, wander through the Hutong district and HoHai Park and sample delicacies at Wang Fu Jing food street. With a guide to help you get under the skin of the city, it could be the perfect chance to do something unique on your return journey.

Day 1 – Arrive and meet your Hong Kong guide at the airport. Take the airport shuttle to the Ibis Hotel North Point. Check in, freshen up then make the most of your Big Bus Tour tickets, heading to Victoria Peak to view the skyline at night.

Day 2 – Enjoy a relaxed morning and spend free time in the Central and Soho districts located a few MTR stops from the hotel. Return to the hotel and get ready for the short walk to the Hong Kong Stadium for the beginning of the tournament.

Day 3 – Second day of tournament – in the evening your guide will help you make the most of the city and find the best spot for some local foodDay 4 – Final day of the tournament

Day 5 – Explore the coastline, visiting Repulse Bay, Stanley Market and Aberdeen Harbour and Fishing Village.  

Day 6 – Using the second day of your Big Bus Tour pass. In the day you can visit Stanley Market, take a ride on a traditional Sampan Boat and Repulse Bay before taking the Star Ferry across to Kowloon and having a night tour. Head back to the hotel, collect your luggage and take the airport shuttle with your guide to the airport.

Day 7 – Early hours of Tuesday morning (approx. 1am) board your return flight to the UK.

Day 1 – Depart the UK

Day 2 – Land in Beijing. Transfer provided to the Dong Fang hotel for the next 2 x nights. After a quick rest, visit the Forbidden City and take a walking tour around Hutong & Houhai Lake area including drum tower visit. In the evening a visit to WangfuJing Street & food market

Day 3– Private tour with English Speaking guide to the Mutianyu Great Wall with cable car. On the way back stop at the 798 Art Zone. Transfer back to hotel.

Day 4 – Transfer to the airport (with your English speaking guide) and depart for Hong Kong. Arrive and meet you Hong Kong guide at the airport. Take the airport shuttle to the Ibis Hotel North Point. Check in, freshen up then make the most of your Big Bus Tour tickets, heading to Victoria Peak to view the skyline at night.
