The Chase School’s Geography and History Tour to Sorrento

Trading in the classroom for the sights of Italy , The Chase School , Malvern e njoyed an unforgettable history and geography t r ip to Sorrento. The s chool embarked on their twelfth MSG Tour as they looked to expand the students’ knowledge of each subject. Climbing 800m up Mount Vesuvius ’s 1281m was the clear highlight, offering incredible views and a first-hand look at volcanic activity. At Solfatara , students saw bubbling mud pools and steaming fumaroles, bringi ng geography lessons to lif e. Next came the real-life history of Pompeii . A guided tour revealed ancient homes, baths, and streets frozen in time. The group also trained at Gladiator School and visited the Flavian Amphitheatre and Temple of Serapid e , explo rin g Roman architecture and daily life. The final stop was the Pertosa Caves, where students ventured underground to see limestone formations and underground rivers.
