Royal Scots Dragoon Guards: Army football tour to Spain with MSG
Following on from their American adventure in 2023 to Tampa and Miami , The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Football Club embarked on a European twin -city trip, starting in Lloret de Mar and finishing in the Spanish capital, Madrid. The tourists kicked off with a 90-minute professional training session at th e Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque training ground , home of La Liga side RCD Espanyol. The session was run by two UEFA qualified Espanyol coaches and marked as the “magical moment” of the tour . As well as the training session, the squad were tested across three friendly matches . The first was a challenging fixture against CF B ufalá in Barcelona , followed by two more competitive games against FC Sant Esteve and FC Sant Esteve in Barcelona and Madrid , respectively . Along with the football, the Scots had free time to explore the two cities, breathing the air and seeing the sights that make these destinations so appealing to tourists. Seeing both the Puerta del Sol in Madrid and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona to name but a few.
