Neath Port Talbot College’s History Trip to Berlin
March 2026 saw the students of Neath Port Talbot College embark on a powerful and thought-provoking h istory tour to Berlin, combining immersive learning with cultural exploration. Upon arrival, the group began discovering the city’s complex past through guided exploration, gaining an understanding of Berlin’s role in shaping modern European history. A key highlight of the tour was a visit to the Berlin Story Bunker, where students engaged with interactive exhibits that brought Germany’s wartime history to life, alongside a volunteering opportunity that allowed them to contribute meaningfully to the local community. These experiences offered a unique balance of education and personal development. To round off the tour, students visited the Tropical Islands Resort for end-of-trip R&R. Blending impactful historical learning with cultural discovery and unique activities, the tour provided a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.
