European Rugby Champions Cup
Finals: Marseille, France. 20-23 May 2022
MSG Tours are heading to the south of France and the magnificent 67,394 capacity Stade de Marseille Stadium for the European Rugby Champions Cup Final, held over the weekend of 20th-23rd May 2022. After the postponement of 2021, this is the first time that the blue-ribboned event will arrive on the shores of the Mediterranean and it promises to be a memorable occasion following the success in Edinburgh (2017), Bilbao (2018) and Newcastle (2019).
The European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) originally announced in October 2018 that the Cote d’Azur will welcome visitors to celebrate the European Cup’s 25th anniversary. While France is a traditional fortress of our beloved sport, a European finals weekend in Marseille is sure to be a very new and different experience. The expansion of the sport into new and emerging markets across Europe was reaffirmed in early May 2019 with the EPCR announcing the 2023 finals weekend will be held at the new Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium in London.
