Why Spain?
Our modern languages study trips to Spain are an exciting way of putting theory into practice. Not only will this opportunity improve your students’ linguistic skills, it will also give them an insight into the Spanish culture. In fact, it’s an invaluable and unrivaled experience which cannot be provided inside the classroom.
San Sebastian, located in the Basque Country, is the ideal place to learn about typical Spanish culture whilst learning the Spanish language first hand and putting your knowledge and confidence to the test in a real-life environment.
‘Eso momento when you start a pensar en dos idiomas at the same time.’
Any language speaker knows the challenge of learning another language. But what better way to enhance your language skills than to experience it first hand? Immersing oneself in the culture of the Basque region and having the confidence to speak the language is the most productive way to improve your language skills and get your brain working in both languages!

Getting there
Getting to Bilbao is super easy by plane. You can fly from Manchester, Gatwick, Stansted or Heathrow directly to Bilbao with easyJet, British Airways and Vueling. Coach transfers whilst there will be included.
Where to Stay
POSHTEL BILBAO This ‘posh hostel’ is located extremely central in Bilbao, next to the Guggenheim museum and the shopping centre. There can be anything from 2 to 12 beds in the rooms so that students can share with each other, and the rooms all have bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi is provided and there is a restaurant for meal times.
When to visit Spain
Spain is an all year-round destination but can be particularly hot in the summer time, so Spring/Autumn has more moderate temperatures and therefore more comfortable. There are lots of festivals around Easter time as it is a very religious country, so the destinations might be slightly busier.
