Madonna di Campiglio sits at over 1500m and thankful to the 95% snow making facilities, the resort will never be scarce of the white fluffy silk paths. A long season is assured. Skiers and boarders of all abilities are well catered for. Beginners and intermediates are able to make great progression on the various slope heights and inclines, and the advanced skiers will be refining techniques on the Canal Miramonti run down from Monte Spinale.
This resort is steeped in ski heritage. Winter sports began in earnest in 1948 with the construction of the first chairlift on Monte Spinale. Today it is a gondola that stretches all the way from town to the ski area’s high point, Passo Grostè, at 2,444m.
