MSG Tours welcomes The Atlas Foundation

Mark GardnerAnnouncement, Rugby

We are delighted to announce that The Atlas Foundation will be our official charity partner for 2017.

The Atlas Foundation was founded by former Rugby Union player Jason Leonard OBE and other rugby legends, with the overarching aim to bring support to people around the world through the power of rugby.

Further, the registered charity works through a global network of rugby champions to support grassroots projects that use rugby to improve the lives of some of the poorest people on earth.  They fund multiple UK and overseas missions providing pitches, coaches and teachers for schools, clubs, and communities.

Mark Gardner, Director at MSG Tours said:

“As an education travel brand, we strongly believe in learning through sport in safe outdoor environments and felt we mirrored many core beliefs such as the desire to deliver the unexpected and fund worldwide projects across a portfolio of unique destinations, making Atlas the perfect charity partner. We are very much looking forward to supporting this meaningful charity.”

MSG Tours welcomes The Atlas Foundation; throughout the partnership, we will be working closely with the Atlas team, offering our support through various volunteer streams to include presence on event days as well as online and marketing support.

Sally Pettipher, Chief Executive of The Atlas Foundation said:

“MSG Tours is a great fit for Atlas with its focus on life-changing opportunities for young people. Their passionate and skilled volunteer support is enormously important to us and will transform our services to supporters and beneficiaries.”

Atlas are encouraging teams of four to join Jason for their upcoming Golf Day at Kingswood Golf and Country Club on Friday 19th May as well cyclists of all abilities for the Tour of Cambridgeshire Cycling event on Sunday 4thJune.

Jason Leonard, Founder and Chairman of The Atlas Foundation said:

“Huge thanks to Mark and the team at MSG Tours. This is a great example of the rugby family pulling together and in the end it’s the kids we support overseas who win.”
