Football Tours to the Deep South
Our football tours to the Deep South of America offer your football team something a little bit different to the norm. Absorb the rich culture of the southern States on your next football trip alongside getting your team playing an excellent standard of football.
If you love a good kick about on the football pitch and love travelling to North America, look no further than the Deep South for your next long-haul football tour trip.
A football tour to the Deep South can include a multitude of cities for you to explore and we will work closely with you to discover which cities are most suited for your group. Famous for being the home of Elvis Presley, Country Music, Blues and Rock n Roll, the cities of the Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans all lay in wait to offer a traditional southern welcome that will resonate with your students for a whole lifetime.
The capital of Georgia – Atlanta, is a city steeped in history. With a multitude of things to do while visiting, it definitely is not lacking in Southern charm. A trip to the Atlanta History Centre offers visitors the chance to see over 6,000 pieces of memorabilia from the Olympics, so why not start the tour with some sporting history before making your own against local opposition.
Nashville, better known as ‘Music City’, has a heritage based on music and is the soul of the city. Visitors are attracted by the lively atmosphere. A must-do in Nashville is a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum where you can learn the background of country music, and what a rich background it is!
The next stop: Memphis for the penultimate leg of your tour and into another city steeped in music history. Memphis is the home of the blues and the birthplace of Rock n Roll so when here we would highly recommend fitting in a trip to the Rock n Soul Museum and Staxx Records around your football fixture.
Finally, we have New Orleans, a fascinating city with a unique mix of history, culture, food and music. Whilst in New Orleans delve deep into a wetland forest for a trip on the Bayou for an up-close-and-personal swamp tour where you can see alligators, snakes, warthogs and many other animals in the flesh, from the safety of your boat.
Your team will return home buzzing about much, much more than the football teams they played on tour!
