Football Tours to Portugal
Our football tours to Portugal are one of the most requested European football tour destinations. Home to some incredible players -the famous Mourinho, Santos and Ronaldo, to name a few, Portugal is the perfect destination for your team to experience football abroad.
Surprisingly, football here only really began in the late 19th century and the first ever game to be played on mainland Portugal occurred in 1989. Yet as four-time winner of the UEFA Champions League, it’s hard to believe this country is still playing catch-up. The ultimate place for you and your team to develop your football skills.
Located just two hours from most UK airports, Portugal is an stress-free football tour option that offers a unique beach and city setting. Lisbon’s charm is for all to see and experience and players are left not wanting to leave Portugal with five days at the Sporting Academy. Nearby, Cascais is a delightful Portuguese fishing town situated on the western edge of the beautiful Lisbon coastline, ideal for post-match relaxation. Further, Estoril is home to major local sports club, Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia, giving scope to visit and be in the presence of great players, and possible even have a kick-about in the training ground! Across the shore from Lisbon, only a 25 minute drive, is our final destination: Costa de Caparica. A seemingly never-ending clean sea and soft sand beach, perfect for an evening BBQ, surfing classes and a coastline flooded with dozens of shops, café, bars and restaurants that can satisfy even the fussiest.
