Football Tours to Italy, Verona

The Pedigree

For years Italy has been known for its tactical discipline, defensive solidity and fierce rivalries. However, the landscape in Italy, and particularly with youth football, is changing.

Whilst Italy is perhaps best known for Inter and AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli, at the other end of Serie A clubs are turning to home grown talent to combat the riches of their illustrious rivals.

In 2014 rules were put in place to curb foreign imports and encourage youth, particularly in the reserve sides of Serie A clubs. These caps have meant a refocussing and a modernising of coaching techniques, techniques that MSG Tours can build into your Football Tour in Italy.

Who we work with

We work alongside Chievo and Brescia to deliver access to top level facilities and coaching. The family feel of both clubs and their philosophy of youth and development make them the perfect match for us and the clubs and schools we work alongside.

Why Verona?

Given Verona’s proximity to some of Italy’s most beautiful spots, it allows for a great mix of activities on your football tour. There’s the option to head into the mountains for altitude training in Brentonico, Venice is within easy reach as are the perfect blue waters of Lake Garda. You’re also close enough to Venice, Bologna and Milan to view them within a day, making Verona the perfect base for great football mixed with Italian charm.

Who’s it for?

Verona can cater to a wide range of abilities. With Chievo and Brescia’s academies located within easy distance of each other, there’s a chance to train with two Sere A clubs.

An abundance of local amateur sides means fixtures can be sourced to suit your needs and you’ll be sure to make friends for life in a city that lives for football.
