Sports Tour Overview
One of our most recent tours in July 2018 saw Yorkshire’s Dinnington High School embark on a significant North American adventure to Canada and USA, playing a number of different sports including netball, football, rugby and hockey with 63 students.
Like all our tours, the trip was a blend of unique sporting and cultural experiences and an opportunity to learn and make lifelong memories on and off the field. There were multiple fixtures in all the sports in top-class facilities including on water-based astroturf and immaculate 4G venues. The students not only had the chance to play top-level sport but also watch it and soak up the incredible atmosphere at a Major League Baseball game between the Seattle Mariners and San Francisco Giants; a must in this part of the world.
Away from the sporting arena, the team visited Grouse Mountain Park for ziplining and sky rides. Travels to the amazing cities of Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria allowed our tourists to explore places such as Stanley Park, BC Place and Vancouver’s infamous Hall of Fame Museum. Visits to the world-renowned Whistler Resort as well as Seattle’s Aquarium, first ever Starbucks coffee bar and Pike Place Market meant that the students returned home having seen and experienced so many once in a lifetime opportunities in the matter of a couple of weeks and made memories that will last for a lifetime.
