Sports Tour Overview

San Sebastian has proven to be the ideal base for our European school hockey tours. The quality of the fixtures and facilities are first class. In 2018, Dulwich College had a hugely enriching and successful tour to the beautiful city of San Sebastian, discovering that this part of the world offers a more than viable alternative to some of the more traditional European hockey cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Amsterdam.

With our European HQ hosted in this region, both Bilbao and San Sebastian offered the perfect blend for well-matched fixtures against local clubs and training in excellent facilities. The destination is perfect for the summer months to take a trip abroad and attend pre-season fixtures and practice training, relaxing on the sunny beach and embracing the Spanish culture.  We are also able to facilitate school hockey tours to Spain in all key school holiday periods.

Away from the intensity of the hockey, the Dulwich tourists enjoyed putting their skills on the water to the test through surfing lessons.  Their all-round sporting prowess was examined through an introduction to the traditional Basque sport of Pelota.

There is the opportunity on request to extend a hockey tour to Spain by stepping over the French border to Bayonne and Biarritz for a full Basque region benefit.
