Geography Study Trip to Morocco
Study Trip Overview
In the spring of 2018, The Chase School embarked on an unforgettable Moroccan Geography Study Tour adventure with MSG Tours. The trip blended memorable and diverse cultural experiences with academically enriching visits and investigations. Whether it was in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech’s mayhem, the magnitude and individuality of the Sahara Desert or the beauty of the Atlas Mountains, everywhere you looked incredible learning opportunities were facilitated offering fantastic opportunities to enhance the students’ knowledge of human, physical and developmental Geography.
The pupils were able to study areas such as how geographical problems affect population growth, the benefits of building canals, assess the impact of flash floods on a community and the different and unique landforms that the Sahara Desert naturally offers. Morocco offered an unrivalled opportunity to witness how countries can be so diverse and how humans can affect not only the demographic of any country but also its natural development. Pupils had the chance to see how curriculum topics such as agricultural systems, river management, desertification and settlement studies occur in the real world in a truly magnificent setting.
