Sports Tour Overview

Durham University’s Grey College decided on Montenegro as a destination for their football tour in 2017. After a short, direct flight from Manchester to Tivat, the group were transferred to Hotel Garni MB for the duration of their stay.

The evening was spent on Budva’s Harbour, enjoying the restaurants and atmosphere it had to offer.

The next day, the group headed to Montenegro’s capital of Podgorica for a fixture against the capital city’s University. The standard of this facility was incredible, highlighted by the fact that Montenegrin Premier League teams play at the same ground. The boys were thrilled to play on an exceptional pitch which led to an exciting game. That afternoon, the boys had the opportunity to explore the relaxed atmosphere of Podgorica before heading back to Budva.

The team then had a few days to explore Budva’s beaches and have a relaxing end to their tour before returning home.
