Applying for an e-Visitor Visa for Australia

Travelling to the land down under for up to 3 months as part of a sports tour requires an e-Visitor visa for Australia. You can apply for the e-Visitor Visa online free of charge, so long as you hold a passport from any of the countries listed below:

  • European Union
  • Andorra
  • Iceland
  • Liechtenstein
  • Monaco
  • Norway
  • San Marino
  • Switzerland
  • Vatican City

How do I apply for an e-Visitor Visa?

Step 1

Before starting your online application, you will need to create an ImmiAccount: https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login

To create an ImmiAccount you will need to use your email address and a memorable password.

Step 2

Next, you will need to log in to your email account and open the email message from ImmiAccount. It is important that you open the email and click on the web link within the email message. This will confirm your account registration process.

Step 3

Once you have created an ImmiAccount, you will be able to complete the e-Visitor Visa application online here: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visi/Visi/Visitor-visas/eVisitor-online-application#

You will need your passport details to complete the e-Visitor Visa application.

Step 4

Finally, you will receive a copy of the e-Visitor Visa to the email address you have provided on your ImmiAccount. Although it is not essential, you may want to have a saved copy of the e-Visitor Visa with you when you travel.

Australia’s modern electronic Visa system doesn’t require a Visa label in your passport to confirm your immigration status. Upon check-in, airline staff will use your passport to electronically confirm authority to travel prior to boarding the aircraft.
